• We would appreciate very much if you entered your video using 4shared. If that is not possible then You Tube or another streaming site is fine. Did I mention I prefer 4shared? It's so easy: Join 4Shared Now!
• You may enter one video per round.
• You can choose as many categories as you'd like.
• Do not resubmit a video if it didn't get an award in a previous round.
  
• If you have a website please be a dear and link back. It's not required, but it would be appreciated.
• Enter the code word/phrase with your submission, it will change change each month and will be hiding somewhere on this page.
• Please tag me in the chat box on the home page after submitting.

Rounds:

• New rounds will open usually on the 1st or last day of the month.
• Rounds will close either when I receive 20-25 videos or on the 15th of each month - whichever comes first.
• The awards will be given out on (or sometimes before) the last day of the month.
• I have 2 co-judges: AG & Bex
• There has to be at least 2 videos entered in a category for that category to be judged & awarded.

 

Categories:

ALL videos will be placed in the Best Video/Best Vidder category. We will also have special awards such as: Most Unique, Most Visually Stunning, Best Song Choice etc - there may not be special awards given every round. Depending on the number of videos entered in a category, there might only be a first place award given. Generally if there are five vids or ore there will be a runner up, if ten or more a 2nd Runner up.

READ THE CATEGORY DESCRIPTIONS CAREFULLY SO YOU ENTER YOUR VID IN THE MOST FITTING CATEGORIES.

Best Action - Give us action and lots of it! (Judge AG loves action vids)

Best Angst - Does your video have a strong theme of a feeling of dread, anxiety, or anguish? (Judge SB loves angsty vids).

Best Atmosphere - Do your scenes and music combine to give a specific "feel" or atmosphere to your vid that totally just works?

Best AU - Is your video a story that's very different then what actually happened in the fandom? Enter it here in Alternate Universe.
(note: IF you enter you vid here please, in your description, let us know what the AU angle is - we might not be familiar with the fandom)

Best Cast - Does your video feature a good portion of the cast of the fandom you've chosen?

Best Character /Character Study - This is all about one character or it could be a character study of a character that makes us understand him/her.

Best Character Worship - Is your video a labor of love for a character you adore and wanted to worship in a fan video?

Best Comedy - Make us laugh!

Best Couple - This would be just a typical HUMAN male/female couple.

Best Creativity/Use of Imagination - Give us something really creative or something outside the box?

Best Crossover - Got a vid using 2 or more fandoms? BtVS & Angel I do not count as 2 separate fandoms.

Best Drama - Give us a serious video using any situation or series of events having vivid, emotional, conflicting, dramatic or striking interest and/or results.

Best Ending - Does your ending wrap things up nicely? Is it a good happy or sad ending? Some endings are just sort of perfect for whatever reason.

Best Enemies - We wanna see enemies being enemies!

Most Entertaining - Go ahead - thoroughly entertain us!   

Most Haunting - The video that wins in this category stays with the judges...it's memory lingers, it imprints on us for whatever reason.

Best Hero - Show us a hero doing something heroic. Incidentally, this could also be a villain who becomes a hero. Theoretically you could enter a video in BOTH the hero and villain categories if it's a video showing us the character doing BOTH villainous THEN heroic things. (a bad guy turned good!)

Best Lone Wolf - If your video about a character who prefers to live, act, or work alone? Or maybe he/she doesn't prefer it that way but rather it just always seems he/she is on the outside looking in or keeping themself distanced from others for some reason.

Best Mood Lifter - This award will go to the video that just makes us feel good, happy, smiley, puts a spring in our step when we watch.

Best POV - This video and the song that represents it must be from a very specific and easily identified Point Of View.

Best Relationship - This can be ANY relationship romantic, friends, siblings, parent/child, a guy and his dog - like Tommy & Lassie ...etc. This category might be broken into sub-categories when we judge it.

Most Sensual/Sexy - Sensual & sexy are 2 very different things so some who enter here will get Most Sensual and some Most Sexy.

Best Slash - Does your video take a straight character/s and portray them as being gay? Enter it here. The video doesn't necessarily have to be a romance vid, it could be a drama, comedy or whatever, as long as slash plays into it. If your video couple IS gay on the series or movie they are from; then enter it in Unconventional Couple instead NOT in slash.

Best Storytelling - Tell us a story with your video.

Best Tearjerker - Make us feel sad.  

Best Trailer - Is your video like a movie trailer or make us want to see this series or movie? Enter it here.

Best Unconventional Couple - This would include a slash couple, a human/vampire couple, an odd couple, an alien/human couple...something like that.

Best Use of Lyrics - The winner will be based on how well your scenes, characters actions or character facial expressions...followed the lyrics of the song

Best Use of Music - The winner will be based on stuff like timings of effects/transitions/character movements...etc to coordinate to the music.

Best Use of Song - The winner will be based on the vidder that used their chosen song to the fullest - both with music & lyrics!

Best Villain - Show us a villain being bad! This could also be a video about a hero turned villain. Again, theoretically you could enter a video in BOTH the hero and villain categories if it’s a good guy gone bad. ****The code word for Round Thirteen is: sunshine****
